The Power of Social Sharing

Social media for business can seem overwhelming, especially if it’s new to your marketing strategy. New to social media or not, there are tried-and-true practices for maximizing success.

First, be sure to monitor your pages. Your goal is to encourage engagement. If questions go unanswered, your audience will be frustrated. The quicker you are at responding, the better. That may be challenging if you are using many platforms. You may want to cut back on the ones that are not providing the most value, so you can engage more on the platforms that are working well for you.

Tell stories about people. Use photos and video. Stories are fun and are more likely to be shared by others. It’s a great way to reach a broader audience. Encourage people to share your posts. Hold a contest that requires sharing the post, or simply ask people to share a great story.

Create relationships on social media. Be a part of conversation on your pages, and share/interact with other businesses. We can build a social media community that is positive while helping our businesses grow.
