Maintaining Identity in the Sea of AI
In a culture that is rapidly embracing AI not just as a weapon in its arsenal, but as a replacement for creativity and conscious thinking, brands have to work that much harder to stay visible and relevant in a sea of flyers and graphics with an increasingly homogenized look.
You know you’ve seen them. AI Flyers for local events, overburdened with every element a client could imagine stuffing onto them. A muddy, visual assualt of information that blends into the background, indistiguishable from any other similar graphic.
These flyers and marketing have a uniform sameness to them, with general and often soft-edged fonts, dark imagery, and far more clutter than the eye can generally parse.
And on an entirely different level, this application of AI to replace every step in the creative process does something else: it abandons any and all work that’s been put into building your unique and defined brand identity.
Font choices, colors, image styles, and more must be carefully chosen to establish a brand’s identity. Disregarding all of that in favor of a shortcut can do far more damage to your brand than you think, by making your business look like everyone else’s.
