Online Business Listings Tell Your Story
An “Online Business Listing” is anywhere you have your business online (i.e.., Google My Business, company website, social media sites, Yelp, chamber, and other professional listings).
Always keep your business hours updated across all your online business listings. There is nothing more frustrating for customers than going to a place of business and the google listing, website or social media says you are open, but you are closed. Your Online Business Listings tell the story about your business, so complete all sections thoroughly to ensure that you are sharing the most accurate information about your business.
Always make sure your profile is visually appealing, use photos when you can and add your logo.
People want to see consistency across your platforms so they can visit, call, or email you. If you want to engage your customers – make sure to use keywords for the products or services, you offer.
Create a list of all your “Online Business Listings” to remind yourself of all the places you will need to update when you make a slight change in how you do business. This list will be your guide to make sure that when a change is made, the change is made across all your listings. Also, do not forget to update your printed marketing materials like business cards, flyers, newspaper ads and other advertisements.
So, set a goal in January 2021 to review your “Online Business Listings” for accuracy. The better your online presence, the better story you tell. Make it easy for customers to do business with you.
