What Would the Workforce Do Without Coffee?

Its aroma, color, and notes, and perhaps most importantly, its kick. This brown beverage is a timeless staple in our day-to-day lives and deserves our utmost respect.

For most of us, it makes its way into our minds and mouths first thing in the morning, and sometimes mid-afternoon.

The word itself permeates workplace culture, and whether you make it at home or buy it during your commute, it provides much needed companionship both before and as we conquer our days.

Aside from the fact that its bubbles sometimes produce the most amusing facial expressions,

it fills our hearts and sometimes it helps us pour them out.

Some of us consume it slowly while others swiftly; yet each sip often provides its own unique experience. We yearn for that bold feeling that wakes us up – allowing us to feel refreshed and focused.

Take a coffee break and read over these major factors when considering your next work and career move. They may just be the extra jolt you need.

Impact:

The way that you make your coffee can be a reflection of who you are, so treat your drink basically the way you want to be treated – unique and one of a kind. What certain aspects draw you to coffee and how do they make you feel? Do you prefer a strong or subtle impact on your body and mind, with the texture/taste smooth or stark? On some days, your coffee will have minimal effect, but as you deepen your relationship with your coffee, think about how it delivers and shows up for you, followed by how you can do the same for those around you.

Temperature:

Ranging from piping hot to iced, how can coffee make you heat up or even cool down your work environment? There may be a certain person or task that you’ll need to take steps to warm up to and vice versa. Or developing a more cool and level-headed approach can help others gravitate toward you and help your professional life.

Necessity:

If a cup of Joe is not on your daily radar, you may consider other means to get a boost or observe the habits of others. With coffee drinkers, first impressions are often caffeinated, as it can make someone appear more focused, organized, and more sociable. If you are more of a decaf person, you can still give off the same energy with your inviting and intriguing heat and flavor combination.

Whether you prefer lattes, mochas, cappuccinos or even straight, coffee’s options and benefits are practically endless. With each sip, take into account the dedication, teamwork and other variables involved to keep this industry so popular.

Let’s raise our mugs, cups, and thermoses and ask ourselves, – “How can I

be the cup of coffee in someone else’s work and well-being?” That’s a thought to really drink in!
