Quality images create a quality image of your BRAND.

Blurry, fuzzy, badly cropped images might not seem like a big deal, but on social media, they can really hurt your brand. People scroll fast, and if your post looks fuzzy or low-quality, they’re likely to just keep going. First impressions matter, and a clear, sharp image goes a long way.

If your logo looks stretched out, your photo is pixelated, or your graphic just looks… off, it makes your brand look messy. And if your visuals don’t look polished, people might assume your business isn’t either.

This is a problem, however, that is very fixable. Use high-quality images, make sure your file sizes match the platform (Instagram, Facebook, etc.), and avoid resizing tiny images to make them big, because they’ll just look worse. And absolutely NEVER just grab a JPG off of Google and assume you can use it for your business, because that’s a major copyright violation.

Almost all of us have cameras in our pockets now capable of taking excellent photos, so check the settings on yours to ensure they are capturing hi-res pics. Step back from your subject a little and make sure the pic is in focus. Take a little time to do it right, because even with all the tools available today, there are some photos that simply can’t be “fixed in Photoshop”.

The bottom line is that low-quality images make your brand look like it doesn’t care. Clean, clear visuals show you’re professional and put-together, even if you posted it from the bathroom. Keep it sharp!
